1/4 pound French beans

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons slivered almonds salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon


Arrange a bunch of beans into a stack, growing end together.

Chop off the growing ends and repeat until all the beans are trimmed.

Add the beans to a pot of lightly salted boiling water. Boil for a two-three minutes until crisp-tender. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking.

Saute almonds in butter for 3 minutes. Add green beans, and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper, to taste, and serve
